FASTER FARTHER

For the athlete, the nearly universal question of “How fast and how far can I go?” applies both to the metrics of physical performance, as well as the unique dimensions of personal development. We find great joy through the act of overcoming challenges of all types with progressive and systematic, incremental improvement in both areas.

But how we answer that great question is where the magic happens. Literally, magic. Not the fairy dust kind pedaled to gullible children. The practical make your life better kind that you can touch and feel. But practical magic involves more than just using premium materials with excellent fit and finish... it demands inspiration.

Faster Farther Apparel was founded on the belief that the inspired athlete is a happy athlete. We believe an inspired athlete will be able to go faster, farther. And if you can binge on self-inflicted pain and smash demons real or imagined while looking fabulous, then you'll know it's magic indeed.

Over the next few months, you’ll see a distinct creative vision take shape in many forms, some familiar and some entirely new. And hopefully, we’ll inspire you enough to become a part of your journey.

Together, we’ll go someplace terrific.

The Faster Farther logo is a twin lighting bolt, symbolizing the twin creative forces of passion and perseverance. It's also two F's shoved together; a double middle-finger nod to my 3rd grade teacher who ripped up my drawings of a harrier jet. I won't forget you Mrs.Pearson.

Faster Farther started as a blog, became a popular instagram featuring concept art.

Today it’s a cutting edge apparel brand leveraging “created on demand” technology to dramatically reduce waste and costly over-runs of product.

All of this is high praise for deliberate A.D.D.

I have long been fascinated by the profound alchemy that occurs when pixels leave the digital realm to become a part of the physical realm.

What starts as an idea can become an empire. Or maybe just a weird mutant kayak.

Pictured Above: A 3D Printed Wave Deflector made out of a semi-flexible styrofoam substrate to fit virtually any hull shape. The design features a subtle arch that promotes a clean release of water to the side, and not up and into the pilot. It weighs less than one ounce.

I designed and built a custom surfski in partnership with Epic Kayaks for my 2015 Vancouver Island Circumnavigation Record Attempt. You can read about that spicey little adventure here. I hope to make another attempt on the record sometime soon.
